POEMS :

THE PEN IS MIGHTIER IN DEATH
 (Song of a departing troubadour)

A pen-pusher; and maker
of memorable verses
I step out in style
To begin my odyssey
To the land of my ancestors
For my clan is agog
With kindred spirit
And pens dripping with rage
To leave memorable lines
In elegies and dirges a gogo:
The graffiti of my immortality
in this fleeting plane.

Words I lack though
To decipher the mystery
Of the pen of the writer
Being mightier in lionizing the dead
Than in eulogizing the living
And the praise of the departed
Is it not louder…
And weightier?
