POEMS :

Thr-ENO-dy for a troubadour

He came in the patina of time
In a sibilant echo of dawn
He came in the ripple of giggling voices
Amidst claps and sonorous roisters

He came with a comp mightier than the sword
To stir our world in a jet of ink
And jerk the imps and pimps into line
With diets of words and goodly deeds

He came as a rumbly wind of change
To ruffle the heads of thorns and thistles
He came to disperse the clouds of hate
And fill the void with billows of love

Now his time is up, says the celestial timer
And go he must in a blaze of glory
For eternal hug with the Prince of Peace
Where perfect peace reigns
And pain is unknown
