POEMS :

 TOWERING HEIGHT
(Celebrating the CN Tower)

This morning
With exhilaration, I eat
Towered above my people
Back home.
I eat heavenward
To the delight of angels
Who live a breath away from my café
The chips taste sweeter
And the coffee leaves
A fragrance in the mouth
My appetite heightens
To reach your towering height
Toronto’s pride in the sky
You’re a wonder to my soul,
And swarms of trippers
Fun-seekers and lovers
Who crisscross your bowels
Picnicking and rollicking.
